Dr. Leonard’s journey in the world of hair care began with a fortuitous encounter during an internship in 1986, when he met the esteemed Dr. CP Chambers of Chambers Hair Institute, who became his beloved mentor.

This meeting sparked Dr. Leonard’s passion for hair restoration surgery, leading him to establish Leonard Hair Transplant Associates in 1989. Through dedication and expertise, he transformed this medical practice into a globally renowned institution.

Driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence for himself and his patients, Dr. Leonard became deeply involved with the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), as its Founding Secretary and eventually serving as its President in 1995. He has maintained a steadfast commitment to the organization to this day.

Having cared for thousands of individuals experiencing hair thinning and loss, Dr. Leonard expanded his approach to encompass holistic, comprehensive hair care. One of his key teachings, imparted to colleagues and patients alike, is the importance of halting further hair loss progression. Moreover, he strives to offer non-surgical remedies that promote healthy scalps and optimal follicle health, resulting in the most luxurious hair possible for every individual seeking his expertise.

With these principles in mind, Dr. Robert Leonard established the Hair Health Institute in 2002, specializing in low-level laser therapy (photobiomodulation) for patients. Initially offering a popular hair care product line, he realized that with extensive research, he could create an even better solution – and so he did with Copper Chemist.
